INTRODUCTION
Sichuan Medical School founded in 1951. It is located in Nanchong City, the historical and cultural city of Sichuan Province. In 1985, it was upgraded to undergraduate and named Sichuan North Medical College. In 2005, it began to enroll international students. In 2006, it obtained the right to grant master’s degree. There are two campuses, Nanchong Shunqing and Nanchong Gaoping, three directly affiliated hospitals and 24 non-affiliated affiliated hospitals, and 53 teaching practice hospitals. There are 21 colleges (departments and departments) including basic medical school and clinical medicine department; 21 undergraduate majors such as clinical medicine, stomatology and anesthesiology are established, and medical imaging is a national-level construction major, medical imaging and medical examination. Technology, Optometry and Anesthesiology are specialties in Sichuan Province. Medical imaging, stomatology, anesthesiology, Chinese and Western medicine clinical medicine, clinical medicine, and ophthalmology are an enrollment specialty in Sichuan Province; there are provincial quality courses. At present, there are more than 17,000 full-time students, including more than 15,000 undergraduates and more than 700 graduate students, forming a multi-level and well-structured talent training system.
The postgraduate education includes two types of academic degrees and professional degrees: academic degrees include four first-level disciplines: basic medicine, clinical medicine, pharmacy, and medical technology; professional degrees include clinical medicine, stomatology, nursing, and Chinese medicine.
